We are pleased to present Volume 4, Issue 2, a special collection of papers originally delivered at the 19th World Sanskrit Conference in Kathmandu, Nepal. This issue stands as tribute to the enduring bond between the Himalayan nation and Bhagavān Svāminārāyaṇa, who sanctified the region through his extensive travels and austerities. The articles in this issue explore the philosophical features of Bhagavān Svāminārāyaṇa’s Akṣara-Puruṣottama Darśana, ranging from the historical genesis of the Svāminārāyaṇa-Bhāṣya to readings of the Prasthānatrayī grounded in the Darśana’s distinct philosophy. The papers in this issue also situate the Darśana within wider Vedāntic conversations, identifying both shared commitments and principled points of divergence. Collectively, these contributions highlight the Darśana’s unique interpretative framework and serve as a testament to the living tradition of Vedānta scholarship.
