Through the inspiration of HH Mahant Swami Maharaj, students at the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalay in Sarangpur, affiliated with Shree Somnath Sanskrit University, undergo a detailed study of the Akshar-Purushottam Darshan, Logic (Nyay), Grammar (Vyakran), Literature (Sahitya), etc., and go on to obtain degrees such as B.A. & M.A. in Swaminarayan Vedant. Through their dedication, a conducive environment, appropriate guidance, and blessings from HH Mahant Swami Maharaj, students graduate with top grades at the university each year.

On Monday, 20 February 2023, the fifteenth convocation ceremony was arranged for students who graduated with B.A. (Shastri) and M.A. (Acharya) in the academic year 2021-22. The ceremony was held in the presence of Shri Acharya Devvratji (Hon. Governor of Gujarat), Shri Praful Pansuriyaji (Hon. Education Minister of Gujarat), Shri Shrinivas Varkhediji (Vice Chancellor of the National Sanskrit University, New Delhi) and other dignitaries.

This year, students from BAPS Swaminarayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalay made history by attaining first and second ranks over all Bachelors’ & Masters’ streams amongst all 38 colleges affiliated with Shree Somnath Sanskrit University. At the B.A. level (Shastri), Jaydeep Mandaliya was awarded a gold medal, and Dhruv Patel was awarded a silver medal. Likewise, in M.A. (Acharya), Tarun Dhola won the gold medal, and Tejas Koriya was awarded the silver medal. In this way, with their outstanding accomplishment, these students have not only made BAPS proud but have also attained the special blessings of HH Mahant Swami Maharaj.

Additionally, during this event, Shri Krishna Gajendra Pandaji, a professor at BAPS Swaminarayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, was awarded a doctorate (PhD) for the successful completion of his thesis on the Akshar-Purushottam Darshan, and, in doing so, also attained the special blessings of Guruhari.
