Mahamahopadhyay Bhadreshdas Swami delivered the prestigious Acharya Jogiraj Basu Memorial Lecture today at Guahati University’s Phanidhar Dutta Seminar Hall. Addressing a captive audience on The Aesthetic Beauty of Upaniṣadic Dialogue, Bhadreshdas Swami explored the profound philosophical nuances of the Upaniṣads.

The event was organized by the Department of Sanskrit under the leadership of Prof. Kameshwar Shukla, in collaboration with the Professor Umakanta Deva Sharma Foundation.
As the invited keynote speaker from the BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute, Bhadreshdas Swami—famed for his Prasthanatrayi commentaries—offered a scholarly exposition that reaffirmed the values of the Indian Knowledge Tradition and Vedic Sanatan Dharma.
The session was presided over by Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta, Vice-Chancellor of Gauhati University, with Shri Kanak Chandra Sharma serving as the Guest of Honor. The lecture drew a significant gathering of faculty, students, and eminent scholars from across the academic fraternity.
